St. Benedict Cathedral School kitchen manager Mary Merrill and Laura Mesker, staff member, display the plaque they received for being a Healthy Cafeteria Club in the tri-state area. The Evansville school is in its first year of the H.E.R.O.E.S. grant, which stands for Healthy, Energetic, Ready, Outstanding, Enthusiastic Schools. “The  cafeteria is creating some phenomenal food while executing the SuperFood HEROES program,” said Jon Day, teacher. “The SuperFood HEROES program is designed for the fourth grade classes to taste test new vegetables and make them a part of their healthy diet.”
