Corpus Christi Procession

St. John the Evangelist Parish in Loogootee celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ with a June 7 Corpus Christi Procession through the Martin County seat.

The procession traveled along Church Street from St. John Church and continued throughout Loogootee. The procession made brief stops at four stations featuring altars that symbolized the four corners of the world. The procession returned to St. John Church where the event concluded with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

Third Degree members of the Knights of Columbus and Fourth Degree Knights provided the honor guard. Servers and members of the parish youth group participated, and members of the choir and music ministry team led music throughout the procession. Many parishioners took part in the procession and Benediction.
