Mater Dei High School graduates Tara Seibert and Megan Wildeman are recipients of the 2015 scholarships awarded by the Daughters of Isabella Circle 144 in Evansville.
Fishing tournamet
The Knights of Columbus Council 10257 in Boonville, their families and friends recently held the 16th annual Special Needs Fishing Tournament near Degonia Springs.
Participants, their chaperones and approximately 80 volunteers enjoyed their time at the lake fishing, eating and attending the award ceremony. The winner of the tournament was determined by the greatest number of inches of fish caught that day.
“The event could not have achieved the success it did without the assistance received from a strong volunteer force and sponsor base,” said Dennis McVey.
“Volunteers showed up from the Junior Civitans of Newburgh, 4H volunteers from Warrick County as well as many members and friends of the K of C.”
