A new parish catechetical leader in Vincennes
Cindy Lettshagen has accepted the position as parish catechetical leader for the merging religious education program in Vincennes. She is taking the position left vacant by the retirement of Sister of Divine Providence Regina Marie.
The five parishes of the Vincennes area are to be merged into one by July 1, 2016. The names of the church buildings will not change. All the parishes will become one under the name of St. Francis Xavier Parish.

Mary F. Thomas Scholarship recipients at Good Shepherd
Three scholarships are awarded annually in honor of Mary F. Thomas, the fourth principal of Good Shepherd School in Evansville.
• Achievement award: Reitz Memorial High School graduate Mary Jane Shafer, the daughter of Paul and Chris Shafer.
• Humanitarian award: Nicole Neisen, the daughter of Randy and Lisa Neisen. This award is given to a graduating eighth grader, selected for politeness and manners, religious participation, general attitude and service to others.
• Scholastic award: Nicole Neisen. This award is presented to the eighth grader with the highest grade average.
