Interns Covering The Diocese

Summer interns Kate Bittner and Katelyn Klingler literally are covering the Diocese of Evansville for The Message. The talented college students are spending this summer working as reporters/photographers and columnists for Southwestern Indiana’s Catholic Community Newspaper.

Bittner is a rising sophomore at Marian University in Indianapolis, where she is majoring in psychology. She and her family are members of Holy Cross Parish in Fort Branch.

Klingler is a rising junior at Indiana University, where she is majoring in English. She and her family are members of St. Boniface Parish in Evansville.

“We are truly blessed to have Kate and Katelyn working with us this summer,” said Tim Lilley, diocesan director of communications and editor of The Message. “They are talented and multi-faceted – and clearly spirit-filled.

“We hope many readers of The Message will have an opportunity to meet them this summer,” Lilley added, “and we hope they will return to us next summer and beyond.”
