Reitz Memorial Dedicates

Immediately following Reitz Memorial High School’s annual “Watermelon Scrimmage," attendees participated in the dedication ceremony for Henning Stadium and Hargrave Field.

Reitz Memorial President Brother Lawrence Murphy spoke to the crowd, football team and coaching staff at Chaplain Father Alex Zenthoefer, pastor of Evansville Annunciation Parish, sprinkled holy water around the field and offered prayers of blessing.

The stadium honors Wayne Henning and his family, and the field honors the family and memory of the late Memorial alumnus and former quarterback and, later, coach Bob Hargrave.
