With appreciation

The family of Mary Virginia “Ginny” Seibert extends this note of appreciation:

“We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for all the expressions of sympathy we received on the passing of our wife, mother and grandmother. The abundance of prayers, flowers, food, visits, and donations touched us deeply.

“We are especially grateful to Bishop Gettelfinger and the many priests and deacons who joined us for her funeral Mass. It was a touching tribute to the legacy that she has left within our diocese, and confirmed that others recognized the great lady we knew her to be.”

Ginny Seibert died Oct. 2. She is the wife of Deacon Joseph Seibert and the mother of Deacon David (Melanie) Seibert and Deacon Michael (Mary) Seibert.

60 years of service

An item in the bulletin at St. John Parish in Loogootee notes, “For nearly two centuries, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has fed and clothed the poor.
