Hispanic Christ Renews His Parish Retreat

The Office of Hispanic Ministry organized a Men’s Christ Renews His Parish Retreat in Spanish on Oct. 3-4 at Sarto Retreat Center. The retreat was facilitated by a CRHP team from the Diocese of Owensboro and supported by two parishioners from Atlanta. We are very grateful to all the team members for sharing their faith through their prayers, testimonies, hard work and generous service.  

A total of 36 Hispanic men attended the retreat from Nativity, Evansville, Saint Mary, Huntingburg, St. Francis of Assisi, Dale, Our Lady of Hope, Washington, and St. Joseph, Jasper. Bishop Charles C. Thompson and Sharon Burns, Director of Hispanic Ministry, addressed the attendees, as well as shared a meal with them.

Now, the attendees are organized in five parochial Christ Renews His Parish groups. With God’s grace and an intentional process, they will meet weekly to continue to deepen their relationship with God, to have a greater active parish life, and to grow, fraternally, as brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

A Hispanic women’s Christ Renews His Parish Retreat will be held in February 2016. It is our prayer that this retreat may be as fruitful as the men’s retreat.

Retiro Cristo Renueva Su Parroquia para Feligreses Hispanos

La Oficina del Ministerio Hispano organizó un retiro Cristo Renueva Su Retiro Parroquia el 3 y 4 de Octubre en el Centro de Retiros Sarto. El retiro fue facilitado por un equipo CRHP de la Diócesis de Owensboro y apoyado por dos feligreses de Atlanta. Estamos muy agradecidos a todos los miembros del equipo por compartir su fe a través de sus oraciones, testimonios, un trabajo duro y un generoso servicio.

Un total de treinta y seis hombres Hispanos asistieron al retiro provenientes de las parroquias Nativity (Evansville), Saint Mary’s (Huntingburg), Saint Francis of Assisi (Dale), Our Lady of Hope (Washington) y Saint Joseph (Jasper). El Obispo Charles Thompson y la señora Sharon Burns, Directora del Ministerio Hispano, se dirigieron a los asistentes, así como también compartieron una comida con ellos.

Ahora, los retiristas están organizados en cinco grupos parroquiales Cristo Renueva Su Parroquia. Con la gracia de Dios y un proceso intencional, ellos se reunirán semanalmente para continuar profundizando en su relación con Dios, para tener una mayor participación en la vida parroquial, y para crecer, fraternalmente, como hermanos y hermanas en Jesucristo.

Un retiro de mujeres Cristo Renueva Su Retiro Parroquia se celebrará el 6 y 7 Febrero de 2016. Es nuestra oración que este retiro sea tan fructífero como el retiro de hombres.
