Respect Life month

“October has been traditionally considered Respect Life month,” writes Father Ray Brenner in the bulletin at St. Joseph Parish in Jasper.

“We consider life as sacred from the moment of conception till natural death.”

He said that “through the years in the priesthood I have dealt with several women who have had abortions and their struggles are great. I have also witnessed the death of many elderly who have gone on in peace.

“May God bless all life.”

“This year we highlighted the fall festival as a 2015 Homecoming! We began with an outdoor Mass at noon which was very well attended followed by delicious food, drinks and games.

“It truly is an example of our people working together as a faith community. Our Lord gave us a beautiful day and the opportunity to have a lot of fun! I certainly enjoyed myself and I am most appreciative to all who made it possible!”
