Learning About Refugees
St. Philip parishioner Irene (Lytwynczuk) Rising explains what refugees fleeing war and terrorism are experiencing as she speaks to the sixth-grade history class at St. Philip School. Rising told her story of the suffering she and her family endured at the hands of Nazi Germany. They fled to the U.S., and came to live and grow up in St. Philip Parish.
