Bishop Thompson Part Of Inter-faith Panel To Discuss The Prophet Elijah

Bishop Charles Thompson will participate in an inter-faith panel discussion about the life of the prophet Elijah, which will be hosted by St. Benedict Cathedral at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday Feb. 21. Other participants include Rabbi Gary Mazo of Temple Adath B-Nai in Evansville, Imam Omar Atia of the Islamic Center of Evansville, Pastor Jeff Kinkade of City Church in Evansville and Maestro Alfred Savia of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. Dr. Jim Ware of the University of Evansville will moderate the discussion. A reception will follow in the Woodward Hospitality Room. This event is free and open to the public!

The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the epic oratorio “Elijah,” by Felix Mendelssohn, at 7 p.m. CT on Feb. 27 at the Victory Theater in Evansville.
