The 2016 Source Summit Retreat is shaping up to be the most powerful and dynamic retreat yet!

John Michael Talbot, Christian Music Legend and the top Catholic recording artist in the world, will appear and perform, and Bishopa Charles C. Thompson will celebrate Mass at 10:30 a.m. on March 13. Following is information about Talbot and others who are scheduled to appear.

Talbot has been prepared throughout his life for this time in the Church.  After a deep conversion – and responding to God’s call to leave a flourishing career in rock ‘n roll – God has used him to bless millions of lives through his unique and multi-faceted ministry. His artistic and humanitarian efforts have been recognized with multiple awards including Mercy Corps and the Mother Theresa Award! “God gave me a vision of itinerant ministry going from parish to parish in a time of great need in our culture,” Talbot said. “I believe that our current ministry is fulfilling that vision, and renewing hearts one life at a time!”

Kara Klein, a young, single, energetic evangelist called by God to defy today’s culture, will join Talbot to give hope to the lives of our young people searching for truth.  Klein has traveled throughout the United States and abroad, sharing her testimony and music to connect others to Jesus in the Eucharist.  She has been featured on EWTN’s “Life on the Rock” and at World Youth Day. She is most passionate about spreading the messages of chastity, true femininity and authentic joy of life in Christ. She hopes that her love for God will encourage others to say yes to Jesus, trust radically in His mercy, and believe wholeheartedly that He can and will work all things for our good.

Franciscan Friar of the Renewal Father Agustino Torres is back by popular demand!  Director of Evangelization for the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, Father Torres is known for his ardent zeal in bringing the light of Christ to youth around the world. His eclectic background, growing up in tough border towns of Texas, and his studies in drama, theology, and history serve him well in the evangelization of the young and young at heart – all with a touch of comedy.

The youth retreat for ages 13 - 24 will be held March 11-13 at Reitz Memorial High School in Evansville.  The adult retreat will be March 12 at Annunciation Parish’s Christ the King campus.  For complete information go to www.sourcesummitevansville.org or call 812-490-0289.
