Lifetime

achievement

award

Linus Mundy has been selected to receive a 2013 lifetime achievement award from the Association of Catholic Publishers. It will be presented to him in March.

He retired in October after spending nearly 40 years in Catholic publishing, both at the St. Anthony Messenger and at Abbey Press at St. Meinrad.

At St. Anthony Messenger Press, he was instrumental in the development and growth of their flagship magazine as well as the early works of such writers as Richard Rohr, Murray Bodo and Cardinal Joseph Bernardin.

At Abbey Press, he created CareNotes, a line of pastoral care booklets that are distributed at churches, hospitals, hospices and counseling centers in the millions of copies each year.

A prolific author, his combined book sales have exceeded a million copies and his books are published in over 20 languages. He received national recognition following the publication of “Prayer-Walking: A Simple Path to Body and Soul Fitness,” a self-help book which encourages readers to integrate walking meditation into their daily lives.

He and his wife, Michaelene, live in Jasper.
