20 Seminarians Make Priesthood Promises At Saint Meinrad

Twenty seminarians studying at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in St. Meinrad made their priesthood promises on March 10  in the school’s St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel. 

The group includes Diocese of Evansville seminarians Tyler Tenbarge and Ambrose Wanyonyi. Bishop Charles C. Thompson will ordain them to the priesthood on June 11 at St. Benedict Cathedral in Evansville. 

The other seminarians who made priesthood promises at St. Meinrad on March 10 include:

  • · Terrence de Silva and John Lijana, Diocese of Lexington
  • · Charles Dunn, Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau
  • · Joseph Braden Maher, Diocese of Springfield, IL
  • · Kyle Neterer, Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana
  • · Adam Royal, Diocese of Knoxville
  • · Jude Sahayam, Diocese of Palayamkottai, India 

Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology offers initial and ongoing formation for priests, permanent deacons and lay ministers. The Benedictine monks of Saint Meinrad Archabbey operate the school.
