Father Gary Kaiser announced on May 10 that Tyler Lemen will serve as principal of Holy Trinity Catholic School beginning with the 2016-17 school year. Lemen served as assistant principal during the 2015-16 school year and replaces Sally Sternberg, who has joined the Diocesan Catholic Schools Office as Assistant Superintendent.

Father Kaiser is pastor of Precious Blood Parish in Jasper and St. Mary Parish in Ireland, and serves as Bishop Charles C. Thompson’s priest delegate to Holy Trinity.

“During the past year I have seen Tyler lead and handle situations with professional insight,” Father Kaiser said. “I am confident that he will serve Holy Trinity Catholic School well. He has great rapport among students, staff and parents. Today is a great day for Holy Trinity."

"I look forward to the opportunity of working with the parishes and pastors of the Dubois County Catholic community in the continued success of Holy Trinity Catholic School. Holy Trinity has seen a great deal of success throughout its inaugural year, and I see a positive future for the school, and Catholic education in Dubois County, as we move forward."

Lemen is a native of Santa Claus. He earned an undergraduate degree in Music Education from Indiana State University. Before joining Holy Trinity’s administrations team, Lemen was the Director of Choirs at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. He earned his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education in 2015.

During the school’s inaugural year, Lemen oversaw transportation, safety and discipline in the school. “Tyler is very organized, allowing him to accomplish multiple tasks day-to-day,” Father Kaiser said. “He is committed to Catholic education. His dedication will serve the Holy Trinity Catholic School System well. He brings an attitude and positive approach to his work that are encouraging and inviting. I look forward to working with him in this new role.”
