Eight Diocesan School Earn Four Star Status

On May 24, Indiana’s Department of Education announced that eight Catholic schools in the Diocese of Evansville earned Four Star distinction for the 2014-15 school year. They are among 287 Four Star schools statewide.

Each Four Star school, all of them accredited by the Indiana Department of Education, earned the highest possible designation in the state’s accountability system, and was in the top 25 percent of schools in two ISTEP-based categories.

Diocese of Evansville Four Star schools include Good Shepherd School, Mater Dei High School, Reitz Memorial High School and Resurrection School in Evansville, Precious Blood School in Jasper, St. Philip School in Posey County, St. Wendel School in St. Wendel and Flaget Elementary School in Vincennes.
