Stephen Ministry – Christ caring for people through people

Holy Family Parish in Jasper, among several other parishes in the Evansville Diocese, offers the assistance of the Stephen Ministry to those who suffer in aloneness or experience depths of despair. Christians by definition are people who receive the comfort of God and are empowered to embody God’s comfort in their relationships with others.  The Stephen Ministry comforts those who are hurting and can help the burden.  If you are hurting, in pain, lonely, or struggling with life’s challenges, a Stephen Minister may be able to meet with you and journey with you as you struggle.  Call Joan Schroering at 812-482-3426, Father John at 812-482-3076 or Robin O’Conner at 812-482-1306 if you would like to discuss your situation.  All conversations are held confidential.

Is God calling you to join the Stephen Ministry?  To walk with others and provide compassionate Christian care? More information about Stephen Ministry can be found at https://www.stephenministries.org/.

Nativity Clothes Closet in need of help

The Clothes Closet, located on Nativity’s campus at 3635 Pollack Ave, Evansville, is seriously low on boys’ and men’s summer clothing.  Clothing donations can be dropped off at Nativity Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The best time to drop off donations is Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Clothes Closet location on the second floor.  Nativity parish is thankful for the opportunity to help so many local individuals in need of clothing.
