Mater Dei Makes Wildeman Permanent Softball Coach

Mater Dei High School Athletics Director Joe Herrmann has announced that the school has named Cori Wildeman as girls softball coach. Wildeman led the Wildcats to the 2016 Indiana Class 2A State Champion as the team’s interim head coach. She replaced Dave Gossman, who resigned during the season, and led Mater Dei to a 16-2 record. The team went 27-5 overall.

“We are extremely excited to have Cori back as the head coach,” Hermann said in announcing the appointment. “The girls are fortunate to have someone with the passion that Cori has in coaching softball. We look forward to the upcoming years with Cori at the helm.”
