MEO Tri-State IDOL Auditions Open Now
Auditions for Marian Educational Outreach’s 2017 Tri-State IDOL competition are open now – on YouTube! Entries will close on Oct. 31.
“We know that many potential entrants have difficulty arranging their busy schedules to audition in person,” said MEO Executive Director Beverly Williamson. “We believe our online-audition process will make it possible for anyone to enter, and we’re excited about that.”
To audition for Tri-State Idol, soloists or groups should make a 1-5-minute performance video and upload it to YouTube. Videos created on smart phones and other portable devices are welcome. After the video is uploaded, entrants should visit www.meoidol.com and complete the online video submission form. In it, they will provide a link to their YouTube video for judges, who will pick semi-finalists from all entries submitted by the Oct. 31 deadline.
Entrants must be available to perform in-person at the semifinals, which are scheduled for 2 p.m. CT on Nov. 19. Those chosen as finalists must be available to perform in-person at the MEO Tri-State IDOL gala on March 4, 2017.
The competition is open to high school and college students, and adults.
