Grant Will Fund MEO Pilot Program

By

Evansville’s Corpus Christi School will participate in an assistive-technology pilot program being funded by a grant awarded to Marian Educational Outreach.  Students participating in the three-year MEO pilot project will receive an IPad or a laptop to facilitate the connection of technology with learning.

Teachers will be trained to select and align software to each student’s individual academic needs.  The project, which will include 1:1 assistive-technology-device/student ratio, will track progress in reading and math fluency, readiness to participate in class discussion and completion of classroom assignments.

Progress will be measured by comparison of annual yearly pre and post assessments.  With the pilot project’s successful implementation and documentation of advancement and progress in learning, hopes will be high for additional funding opportunities and expansion of the project.
