‘Tis the season of giving

Students in the diocese of Evansville have been giving their time, talent and treasure throughout November and December to help provide others with a happy Thanksgiving and Christmas celebration. Local food banks and charities use the generous donations to provide meals and essential products to local families in need. One such group, the Dubois County Community Meal, with the assistance of 200 volunteers, served 1,592 meals on Thanksgiving.

These actions reflect the mission statement of the Catholic Diocese of Evansville: “We, the Catholics of the Diocese of Evansville, are committed to continuing the mission of Jesus Christ in the world today by joyfully living the gospel, ministering to all in justice and charity, and inviting people into a personal encounter with the living God through Word, Sacrament and Service.”
