Reitz Memorial Wins Fourth Straight Academic Decathlon Championship
Reitz Memorial High School Academic Decathlon teams know a thing or two about how to prepare for competition.
For the ninth time in the last 11 years and fourth year in a row, the Memorial Academic Decathlon team earned the title of State Champions.
As a team, Memorial won all 10 of the individual categories and 50 of the possible 99 individual awards in competition against seven other schools from throughout the state.
Special congratulations to the students winning overall competition medals for excellence in all 10 subjects: Alena Coleman, James Vincent and Stephen Brooks, gold medal winners; Madelyn Kalna, silver medal winner; and Nathan Folz and Brandon Weisman, bronze medal winners.
