Julie Rosario, parish catechetical leader at Annunciation Parish in Evansville, celebrates her birthday on April 22.

Marie Williams, principal at Reitz Memorial High School in Evansville, celebrates her birthday on April 25.


Happy anniversary!


Father Anthony Govind, associate pastor at St. Boniface Parish in Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood April 21, 2010.

Father Robert Nemergut, a retired priest of the Diocese of Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood April 22, 1977.


 

Mater Dei Student takes top prize at Evansville Museum Art Show


Congratulations to Mater Dei High School sophomore Payton Pokorney who won the John Streetman Best of Show Award at the annual High School Art Show sponsored by the Evansville Museum.  The award is the highest honor given to what is judged the very best out of all entries submitted.

Rivet students shine in the arts


Rivet High School English students Jackson Smith and Taylor Lammert recently received the honor of each having an original poem published in this year’s Autumn Voices Literary Magazine, sponsored through Vincennes University.


Several Rivet students have had artwork on display at Shircliff Gallery on the Vincennes University Campus this spring.  Freshmen Keaton Rath, Trevon Taylor, Bethany Mattox, Taylor Lammert, Macee Hamilton and Brett Witteried, along with sophomores Savannah Cook, Jack Whitsett, Colton Mouzin, Milo Johnson, Molly Niehaus, Eric Nardine, Grace Waggoner and Olivia Vantlin had their work featured in the display.  

 

Awards were presented to:

 

Savannah Cook: 2nd place Fiber/Textiles, and 1st place Tri Kappa award

 

Colton Mouzin: Honorable Mention, Fibers/Textiles

 

Keaton Rath:  2nd place, Tri Kappa award

 

Grace Waggoner: 3rd place, Tri Kappa award

 

The juror was very complimentary of the quality of artwork seen in this exhibit from all the high schools in the county. Congratulations to the talented students from Rivet!
