Seminarians, Other Earn Graduate Degrees From St. Meinrad

Three diocese of Evansville seminarians earned Master’s Degrees from St. Meinrad Seminary and school of Theology, and three others from the diocese also earned graduate degrees. They all received their diplomas on May 13 from Benedictine Father Kurt Stasiak, archabbot of St. Meinrad and chairman of the school’s Board of Trustees. Archabbot Stasiak also delivered the commencement address.

Seminarians Deacon John Pfister and Deacon Jerry Pratt earned Master of Divinity degrees, and seminarian Garrett Braun earned a Master of Arts in Catholic Philosophical Studies. Bishop Charles C. Thompson will ordain Deacons Pfister and Pratt to the priesthood during a 10 a.m. CDT Mass on June 3 at St. Benedict Cathedral in Evansville.

Three others from the Diocese of Evansville earned Master of Arts degrees in Pastoral Theology from st. Meinrad. They include Benedictine sister Rachel Geracitano of Ferdinand, Deacon John Huether of Jasper and Debra Schmitt of Huntingburg.
