St. Vincent Evansville and Tri-State Orthopaedics broke ground on May 17 for St. Vincent Orthopedic Hospital. The $95 million, 135,000-square-foot, four-story facility will be located at the northeast corner of Warrick Wellness Trail and Epworth Road, making it a natural extension of the St. Vincent Epworth Crossing campus.

“We’re excited to bring forth this state-of-the-art facility to help meet this community’s growing demand for orthopedic services,” said Dan Parod, interim president of St. Vincent Evansville.“Coupled with the skill of our surgical partners at Tri-State Orthopaedics, this new hospital has the potential to become a regional destination for individuals seeking leading-edge bone and joint care.”

“The arrival of this new specialty hospital will combine St. Vincent Evansville’s clinical excellence with our group’s surgical expertise to transform how care is delivered in the tri-state area,” said Dr. Paul Perry, president of Tri-State Orthopaedics. “This is great news for patients in need of orthopedic services.”

St. Vincent Orthopedic Hospital, scheduled to open in 2019, will include space for 48 inpatient rooms, 10 operating suites (with room for expansion) and two procedure rooms.
