Father Bernie Etienne, Vicar General of the Diocese of Evansville and pastor of Holy Rosary Parish in Evansville, celebrates his birthday on June 9.

Father Frank Renner, pastor of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Petersburg and Blessed Sacrament Parish in Oakland City, celebrates his birthday on June 9.

Darlene Quinlin, assistant principal at Mater Dei High School in Evansville, celebrates her birthday on June 10.

Father Henry Kuykendall, retired priest of the Diocese of Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood June 6, 1986.

Father Gordon Mann, priest of the Diocese of Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood June 6, 1992.

Father Ryan Hilderbrand, pastor of St. Mary Parish in Huntingburg, was ordained to the priesthood June 6, 2009.

Father Thomas Kessler, pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Newburgh, was ordained to the priesthood June 7, 1975.

Father Christopher Droste, pastor of Divine Mercy Parish in Schnellville, was ordained to the priesthood June 8, 2013.

Father Tyler Tenbarge, pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Newburgh, was ordained to the priesthood June 11, 2016.

Father Ambrose Wanyonyi, associate pastor of Holy Rosary Parish in Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood June 11, 2016.



Sts. Mary and John Mass schedule changes

Sts. Mary and John Parish in Evansville has begun its new Mass schedule. All Masses are celebrated at St. Mary Church.

Weekday Mass – 12:05 p.m. daily, Tuesday through Friday.

Weekend Masses – Saturday, 4 p.m. CDT; Sunday, 9:30 a.m. CDT, 11:30 A.M. CDT and Latin Mass at 2 p.m. CDT.

 

St. Joseph Parish honors Seniors with Faithful Watchman Awards

St. Joseph Parish in Jasper recognized high school seniors for meritorious service to the people of the Saint Joseph Parish Community by presenting 14 Faithful Watchman Awards.  Honored students include Adam Betz, Andrew Buechler, Emily Brinkman, Cameron Heeke, Matthew Lottes, Abigail Loya, Jordan Mehringer, Kyle Mehringer, Yesica Mejia, Kathleen Messmer, Brooklynn Pierce, Tad Reinsch, Gina Stone and Sydney Traylor.  These students serve as role models of stewardship, with a cumulative donation of thousands of hours of service.  They have helped with formation programs, Eucharistic ministery and servers at Mass, shared musical gifts and served as leaders in youth ministry both locally and at the Diocese. God bless the Watchman.
