Free patriotic band concerts in June
The Evansville Symphonic Band will continue a 70-year tradition offering free concerts on Sunday evenings in June. The concerts begin at 7 p.m. and are held in the air-conditioned comfort of the Evansville Central High School auditorium.
The 70th season will feature local solo artists under the headline “Showcasing our Own.” Also debuting for the first time is a new event, “Side-By-Side Jazz!” June 25. Jazz and Big Band lovers, young and old, will enjoy this event. The Big Band and group Youth Jazz will team up to present classic and contemporary jazz to get toes tapping and hands clapping.
