Around The Diocese For Feb. 9-15
Distinguished Family at Holy Family
The Beckman family was recognized as the 2013 Distinguished Family at Holy
Family School in Jasper during Catholic Schools Week.
Florence Beckman and her late husband, Chuck, were honored at a Mass at Holy
Family Church. The couple joined Holy Family parish in 1957, and sent their four sons,
Dean, Marty, Chris and Jeff, to the school.
Sally Sternberg said of the couple that they “exemplified a heart of service and
devotion to the Catholic community of Holy Family School and parish.”
“Their dedicated involvement in many Holy Family church and school organizations
has richly enhanced our parish. They have willingly served in a variety of ministries
including serving as lectors, Eucharistic ministers, and singing in the choir.
“Chuck and Florence have also been or are currently members of the Holy Name
