Deacons Hold Retreat

Permanent deacons of the Diocese of Evansville held their annual retreat Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Santa Claus, Ind. Father Henry Kuykendall, retired priest of the diocese, served as retreat master. Deacons’ spouses also attended.

An opening conference and Mass occurred the evening of Sept. 29. On Sept. 30, deacons and their spouses participated in three conferences. Eucharistic Adoration, opportunities for personal reconciliation and Mass rounded out the day.

The retreat concluded on Oct. 1 with a final conference and Mass. Father Jean Vogler, retired priest of the diocese, concelebrated the closing mass with Father Kuykendall.
