Knox County Catholics Form 'Prayer Warrior' Group

Parishioners from St. Francis Xavier Parish in Vincennes and St. St. Philip Neri Parish in Bicknell, both in Knox County, have formed a group they are calling “Prayer Warriors.” They are starting 2018 by embarking on a Pilgrimage of Prayer across the Diocese of Evansville. 

Led by their associate pastor, Father Simon Natha, the Prayer Warriors visited Our Lady of Hope Parish in Washington on Jan. 9.  The group then journeyed to St. Peter Church in Montgomery, where members of the parish joined them in prayer.  They intend to visit a couple of churches in the diocese each month. 

Prior to visiting each church, members of the Prayer Warriors pray for that parish community. During each visit, they will pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet for the intentions of the parish community and its priests.  Mass is also celebrated. A brief history and tour of the church might also be given.
