Howell Family Day set for May 5

Howell Booster Club announces its first ever FAMILY DAY to be held from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on May 5. The event will include FREE Par 3 and FREE Mini Golf.  Clubs and brief lessons are available if needed. The Booster Club is offering the free event to encourage new golfers to enjoy the game and the beautiful course.  Other activities for the family will include corn hole and Kentucky washers. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs can also be enjoyed by the whole family.

The golf course, which opened for the season on April 1, is located at 1101 S. Barker Avenue on Evansville’s west side. The nine-hole Par 3 course has been helping young and experienced golfers improve their game for more than 50 years.   Mini Golf is a fun course for the young and young-at-heart. Many families visit the park every year to enjoy both golf experiences. “Hundreds of golfers come out each year and are surprised by the beauty and condition of our course. It is truly a hidden gem in one of the oldest neighborhoods of Evansville,” notes John Drone, facility manager.

Howell Par 3, Mini Golf and Shelter House are operated and maintained by the Howell Booster Club, a non-profit volunteer-driven organization.   The golf courses open each day at 7:30 a.m.and close at approximately 6:00 p.m.
