Peer Leadership team

“We’ve started a Peer Leadership team,” writes Bryan Macke, youth minister at Holy Cross Church, Fort Branch, St. Bernard Church, Snake Run, and St. James and Sts. Peter and Paul Churches, both in Haubstadt.

“It’s a team of nine high school youth that will be meeting once a month to discuss ideas and plan events for the St. Maria Goretti Youth Ministry.

“We figure the youth can do it better than we can! And what better way to increase faith than to put it in action! We are very hopeful that by giving the youth the opportunity to use their gifts and talents for the Lord that this will be a key element to a blessed ministry that helps to transform lives.”

The team includes Kate Bittner and Nick Sellers from Holy Cross; Emily Rogers and Caleb Ziliak from St. Bernard; Kalissa Bittner, Abe Kiesel and Leah Raider from St. James, and Drew Happe and Jordyn Milheiser from Sts. Peter and Paul.
