Father James Endress, a retired priest of the Diocese of Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood April 3, 1960. He resides at River Pointe, 3001 Galaxy Dr., Evansville IN 47714.

Father Joseph Ziliak, a retired priest of the Diocese of Evansville, was ordained to the priesthood April 7, 1962.

Darin Knight, dean of students at Mater Dei High School, Evansville, celebrates his birthday April 10.

 

Slam Dunk

Students at Good Shepherd School were given the opportunity to draw a picture for Slam Dunk Safety Week at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital.

Winners include Theresa Blanke, first place; Grace Frasier, second place; Callie Elpers and Ryleigh Anslinger, third place; Jacob Scholz, honorable mention.

 

Character award

Students at St. Matthew School in Mount Vernon were recently recognized for showing good character during the third grading period.

They include Colton Green, Caleb Watzlavik, Christian Piechocki, Sophie Kloppenburg, Carson Tucker, Will Collins, Kennah Keller, and J.T.Rapp.

Angie Johnson, principal at St. James School in Haubstadt, writes, “We would like to say a special ‘thank you’ to Ms. Carrie Weil, who has been serving as our first grade teacher for the past 10 weeks.
