State Soccer Champs Honored At Statehouse

Members of the Class 2A girls’ soccer championship team from Reitz Memorial High School meet with State Sens. Vaneta Becker (R-Evansville) and Jim Tomes (R-Wadesville) on Tuesday, March 12. The Evansville students culminated a 12-game winning streak with their state championship victory, when they finished 3-1 over fourth-ranked South Bend St. Joseph. Becker and Tomes honored the team on the Senate floor with House Concurrent Resolution 27, praising both their athletic and academic accomplishments.
