State Basketball Champs Visit Statehouse

Members of the Class 2A girls’ basketball state championship team from Mater Dei High School meet with State Sens. Jim Tomes (R-Wadesville) and Vaneta Becker (R-Evansville) on Tuesday, April 2, at the Statehouse.

The Wildcats won their second consecutive state title earlier this year.

Tomes and Becker honored the team on the Senate floor with House Concurrent Resolution 39, praising their athletic and academic accomplishments. The Wildcats finished the season with a 28-2 record.
