Four Signs of a

Dynamic Catholic

Father Tony Ernst, pastor at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Haubstadt, Holy Cross Parish in Fort Branch, and St. Bernard Parish in Snake Run, shares a few reflections in the parish newsletters about Matthew Kelly’s book, “Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic.”

“Kelly has done extensive research and he has found that there are some common characteristics that are found among Catholics who live their faith dynamically. The four signs Kelly speaks about are Prayer, Study, Generosity and Evangelization.”

• A dynamic Catholic prays daily.

• A dynamic Catholic is a continuous learned, spending about 14 minutes every day learning more about their faith.

• A dynamic Catholic is generous with time, talent and treasure.

• A dynamic Catholic is an evangelizer, inviting others to grow in the faith by sharing God’s love with them.

Father Ernst invited his parishioners to ask themselves: Am I a dynamic Catholic?

Copies of the book have been placed in the back of the churches and are available at the parish office.

Anniversary of ordination

Father Stephen Lintzenich was ordained to the priesthood June 22, 1974. He is pastor of St. Mary Parish in Evansville, moderator of St. John the Apostle Parish in Evansville, and part-time clergy personnel director for the Diocese of Evansville.

Rotary Grant

St. Theresa School recently received an enrichment grant for $346.30 from the Rotary Club of Evansville/Love Foundation, according to Nancy Mills, principal. “The grant will be used to purchase nonfiction books for the school’s Accelerated Reader program.”

Notable of the Month

Ann Moore has been named the “Notable of the Month” at St. Nicholas Parish in Santa Claus. She is a member of the Community Outreach Commission, and in the parish newsletter she is thanked “for the time you spend serving others representing our faith community.”
