Peter's Pence Collection: Be A Pilgrim Of Charity
Charity bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Cor 13:7)
Dear Friends in Christ:
In many places throughout the world, the Church struggles to be a visible sign of charity. Fortunately, the Holy Father is the pilgrim of charity for Catholics everywhere. In poor dioceses, many are dependent on the Church for social and pastoral support. In several regions, Catholics are persecuted for their faith. Some nations are overwhelmed with ever-increasing numbers of refugees as well as victims of war and natural disasters. The works done by the Holy Father help the Church extend charity to those most in need.
The annual Peter’s Pence Collection gives us the opportunity to be pilgrims of charity around the world. Our gifts to this annual collection help the Holy Father strengthen dioceses, religious orders and struggling communities of faith when they need it most. Many who struggle to survive rely on pilgrims of charity to assist them through their difficulties.
Please give generously to the collection, which is slated to take place on the weekend of June 29-30 in dioceses throughout the United States. In doing so, you become a pilgrim of charity around the globe. With assurance of my prayers, gratitude and best wishes,

Queridos amigos en Cristo:
En muchos lugares del mundo, la Iglesia se esfuerza por ser un signo visible de la caridad. Afortunadamente, el Santo Padre es el peregrino de la caridad de los católicos de todo el mundo. En las diócesis pobres, muchos de ellos son dependientes de la Iglesia para el apoyo social y pastoral. En varias regiones, los católicos son perseguidos por su fe. Algunos países están abrumados con los números cada vez mayores de los refugiados y las víctimas de la guerra y los desastres naturales. El Santo Padre realiza obras para ayudar a la Iglesia a extender la caridad a los más necesitados.
La Colecta Anual del Dinero de San Pedro nos da la oportunidad de ser peregrinos de la caridad en todo el mundo. Nuestra aportación a esta Colecta anual ayuda a fortalecer las diócesis, órdenes religiosas y comunidades de fe que luchan cuando más lo necesitan.
