Heading To World Youth Day

The pilgrims include, from left, Tyler Tenbarge, Kyle Freyberger, Megan Durchholz, Luke Hassler, Megan Baehl, Jenae Gries, Father Christopher Droste, Emily McAtee, Gavin Steckler, Sherie Cooley, Andy Hirsch and Dena Embrey. They represent Christ the King Parish in Evansville, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Haubstadt, Holy Cross Parish in Fort Branch, St. Francis Xavier Parish in Poseyville, St. Wendel Parish in St. Wendel, St. Joseph Parish in Jasper, St. Philip Parish in Posey County, and St. Augustine Parish in Leopold.

Tenbarge said, “We're looking forward to sleeping outside on the vigil of the closing Mass, being in a different culture, and seeing the Holy Father at his homecoming to South America.”

Gries added, "I'm most excited for the big Mass, being with millions of other young people from all over the world to celebrate our faith."
