Prayers for Mr. Carl

An item in the newsletter at St. Matthew School in Mount Vernon notes, "Carl Breeze, one of our custodians and affectionately known by our students as 'Mr. Carl,' was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  He has taken out the trash and classroom recyclables and helped with cafeteria clean-up after lunch for the past five years.  Prior to that, Mr. Carl was the groundskeeper for the parish and school.  Mr. Carl considers the students and teachers at St. Matthew School his family, and he often refers to the students as 'our little lambs.' Please keep Mr. Carl in your prayers."

At-large members include Taylor Schuler, Izzy Haseman, Mallory Russell, Catherine Shafer, Eric Burris, Drew Hart, Dustin Lehman, Luke Montgomery, Maria Sermersheim and Jonathan Shafer.
