Members of the Tiger Archery Club shoot the National Archery in the Schools Program state-qualifying match Feb. 8 at the Catholic Center.

In only its second season, Tiger Archery will send two teams and at least four individuals to the NASP state championships, which are March 22 in Indianapolis. Teams from Memorial High School and St. Benedict Cathedral School qualified, and two shooters from each school qualified for the individual championships.

Morgan Bailey of Memorial and Sophie Ante from St. Benedict qualified for the girls’ championships, and John Sauls of Memorial and St. Benedict’s Max Ante qualified for the boys’ championships.

Tiger Archery manager Bill Daly said additional individuals may be invited as a result of their scores in the qualifier match.

Young archers represented eight Evansville-area Catholic schools: Christ the King, Good Shepherd, Holy Rosary, Holy Spirit, Memorial, St. Benedict, St. John the Baptist and St. Theresa.
