Money For Russia

Marilyn Wassmer accepts a check from students at the University of Evansville to be used by her brother, Father Myron Effing, Mary Mother of God Mission Society in Vladivostok, Russia. “The money is from our annual Lenten collection,” said Michael Roesch, campus minister. The group includes Katie Ziebell, Nick Raupp, Roesch, Braden Maher, a seminarian from the Diocese of Springfield, Ill., Newman Club co-president Shelby Phelps, Wassmer, Alexis Niese, Jon Robson and Michael Novak.
