Statues heading to Haubstadt
Father James Koressel writes in the bulletin at St. Peter Parish in Montgomery and All Saints Parish in Cannelburg, “Last Sunday two statues were removed from St. Patrick Chapel [in Corning].
“The Blessed Mother and Joseph with the child Jesus were taken to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Haubstadt. They plan to have them refurbished and then use them in a chapel they plan to create.
“I have been assured that when all work is completed former members of St. Patrick will be welcome to stop by for a visit.”

Jeanne McGinnis, the art teacher at St. Benedictine Cathedral School in Evansville, has a drawing in the exhibit at the Women’s Hospital in Evansville until June 12.
“I hope everyone will take the time to see her ‘Winter Oak,’ which is part of the ‘Inspired by Women’ exhibit,” said Benedictine Sister Karlene Sensmeier, principal.
