Reitz Memorial High School’s Media Center hosted Marian Educational Outreach’s 2014 “Tech it Easy” Assistive Technology Camp July 14-17. Third- through eighth-graders attended the July 14-15 sessions, and high school students participated July 16-17. All are enrolled in the Catholic schools’ Resource Programs.

Diocesan special-education teachers served as camp instructors, and they worked with the students to create movies and trailers on digital devices using a variety of apps. The innovative curriculum enabled campers to develop, produce and direct videos on their assigned iPads using apps like Jot Note Pro, iMovie, Tellagami and Mad Libs.

Each session concluded with screenings of the campers’ videos, which were supported by narrations the students recorded for their friends and families.
