The new St. Martin Parish, created July 1 by the merger of St. Martin in Chrisney with St. John Chrysostom Parish in New Boston, held the annual social at St. John Chrysostom Church on July 20.

Many members of the former St. Martin Parish supported the event, and some pitched in to help with booths and other duties. The new parish displayed a great family spirit in working to make the social a big success.

Deacon Mike Waninger, left, and new pastor Father Ron Kreilein joined a nice crowd that turned out for a day full of fun and good food. Father Ron becomes pastor of St. Martin, which includes St. Martin Church and St. John Chrysostom Church, on July 30. He also becomes pastor of St. Bernard Parish in Rockport on that date.
