Sixth graders at St. Wendel School in St. Wendel write prayers and wishes on a home being built by Habitat for Humanity. Amanda Cadden, teacher, notes that every class in the school has an annual service project. “This year, the sixth grade class is helping Habitat for Humanity. They made lunch for the volunteers who help build throughout the week. They handed out sandwiches, chips, apples and drinks. They gave lots of smiles. They made the volunteers feel appreciated. Then, they wrote prayers and warm wishes on the framing of the house for the future family.”
