Prayer Shawl Ministry

Father Joseph Erbacher blesses the work of the Mantel of Mary Prayer Shawl ministry at St. Peter Parish in Linton.

Cathy Burns, parishioner, said, “The ministry has been making shawls, lap blankets, hats, scarves, gloves and baby blankets. The ladies from St. Peter Parish in Linton, Holy Name Parish in Bloomfield and St. Mary Parish in Sullivan have pitched in to crochet, knit and deliver the blessings. Their work is for anyone needing a hug from Our Holy Mother. The Pregnancy Center and Food Pantry of Linton also benefit from their labor. The Ministry has been active for about four years and is supported by Father Ryan Council of The Knights of Columbus 6679. The Knights match funds raised by the ministry."

Father Erbacher is pastor at both Holy Name and St. Peter parishes.
