Father Tony Ernst is pastor at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Haubstadt, Holy Cross Parish in Fort Branch, and St. Bernard Parish in Snake Run. He writes in a recent newsletter about Holy Cross parishioner Brian Ward:
“Brian is currently discerning a religious life with Marians of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (MIC).
“This Congregation promotes the Divine Mercy message. To learn more about MIC, visit http://www.marian.org/.
“Brian is in the year of postulancy and he is currently studying philosophy at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. Besides studying, Brian lives at the house and studies, works and prays with the community and uses this year to discern whether or not to proceed into the novitiate year.
“After the novitiate year, Brian will make first simple vows and continue studying for a few more years as a Brother/Seminarian with expectation of future Permanent Vows and Priesthood.”

“There was a wonderful turn-out and a lot of good ideas were expressed for us to go forward. It certainly will be an opportunity for the women of the parish to gather, pray, and share their faith.”
