Bishop Thompson Says 'thanks'

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

Please accept my sincere thanks for your participation in the 2015 Catholic Parishes Campaign.

As Pope Francis so beautifully notes in his apostolic exhortation, “The Joy of the Gospel,” we are called “to respond to the God of love who saves us, to see God in others and to go forth from ourselves to seek the good of others” (Evangelii Gaudium 39).

Your generous participation in the CPC answers that call. As a result, we are able to accomplish what no individual, family or parish could do alone. More than 99 cents of every CPC dollar goes to serve people across southwestern Indiana.

CPC enables us, as a Catholic community, to serve the poor and others in need. It supports the education of young people and adults across the diocese. And it helps our parishes provide services they could not otherwise support. In addition to such wonderful priests, deacons and religious, we are blessed with dedicated lay members as both staff and volunteers throughout the 12 counties that comprise the Diocese of Evansville.
