Education and Formation

What schools or institutions have been part of your education, and what is next?

I am a first year seminarian at Bishop Simon Bruté Seminary. From first to eighth grade, I went to Allamuchy Township School in Allamuchy, NJ. My freshman year of high school, I attended Hackettstown High School (also in New Jersey) and from my sophomore year until graduation I went to Reitz Memorial High School.

This fall I will be at Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary where I plan on spending the next four years, followed by four more years at St. Meinrad.

Your Vocation

Who — or what — affirms you as a seminarian?

I am blessed that all of my friends and family affirm me as a seminarian.

What area of priestly ministry is most attractive?

Being a major part of a parish family is the most attractive part of ordained ministry.

Your Future

Looking ahead to life as a priest in the Diocese of Evansville, God willing, what are your thoughts on the importance of preaching?

Preaching is so important that it can either draw people into the faith or push them away.

What have you heard about cluster parishes?

Cluster parishes are necessary because there are more parishes than priests. However, I do not like the idea of a priest not knowing his parish communities as well because he does not have his whole time being spent in just one parish.

How do you view the role of the priest in supporting vocations?

Priests must always support every vocation equally while actively looking for people who seem to be called to the priesthood or religious life.

What are the qualities of a good priest?

The most important quality of a priest is being able to balance every aspect in life (i.e. prayer and work, saying yes or no).
