'Poverty At The Crossroads' Reflection Guide Available

A reflection guide to accompany the Indiana bishops’ pastoral letter on poverty is available now for download and use.

“Poverty at the Crossroads: the Church’s Response to Poverty in Indiana” looks not only at the factors influencing the persistent obstacles faced by those living in poverty across the Hoosier State, it also offers foundational elements of change that can lift those in poverty out of the negative cycle that impacts their lives.

The reflection guide presents the entire pastoral letter in five sections that can serve as the basis for regular (e.g. weekly) meetings and discussion in the setting of a small group, a classroom or any number of other faith-formation opportunities.

In includes Pope Francis’ prayer for the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, as well as a personal commitment card that encourages action steps toward making a lasting impact in confronting poverty across Indiana.
